EARNINGS POLL-Gamesa to book 26.3 pct rise in 9-month EBITDA

    MADRID, Oct 21 . - Spanish wind turbine manufacturer 
Gamesa  will report a 26.3 percent increase in core 
nine-month earnings (EBITDA) on Wednesday, according to a 
Reuters poll of six analysts. 
    Analysts expect Gamesa to report earnings before interest, 
tax, depreciation and amortisation of 358.6 million euros ($475 
million) on a 19.3 percent rise in revenues to 2.631 billion 
euros. 
    But investors will be focusing on Gamesa's 2009-2011 
strategic plan, due to be released along with results, amid 
expectations that the company will raise its targets for 2008. 
   "We think Gamesa could raise its targets for the whole year," 
Credit Suisse said in a research note. 
    The company is currently forecasting 15 percent growth in 
EBITDA in 2008 and annual wind turbine production capacity of 
3.6 gigawatts. 
    Gamesa has also said it is targeting 6 gigawatts annual 
production capacity in 2010.
